Zubin got his therapy dog title at the tender age of 10 months.He became the youngest dogs to pass the test, and at the time the only Borzois in our state of Virginia to received such an honor.

Zubin is highly welcomed by the children. He is called " the pony" of the group and requested constantly in both hospitals.

Zubin has a special gift. Although sad for the nurses, he seems to know when a child is not doing well at all and won't make it. They have had children that were being sent for more extensive hospitals as medically viewed as not doing well, and Zubin knows otherwise- showing his friendly more open character. By the same token, they have had children being discharged as progressing enough to go home, while Zubin rests his head in their laps, pressing like in total comfort. I am afraid the reports come in with in days of his behavior as being correct. What he is sensing its hard to say- but some how he knows.

Borzois are great therapy dogs. Their natural calm nature makes them perfect candidates for this line of service. Usually not boisterious and respectful of their body position, and of the people they meet, they are obviously perfect for this line of work.
